The Miniature Dachshund steals the hearts of many folks. They took us by surprise some 12 years ago. We have a special affinity for the Smooth Coats, but we have on occasion bred the Wire Haired and also the Long Coats.
Their sheer determination sure helps to keep life interesting.

We do have show/pet quality pups available occasionally.

All our pups are top quality and healthy. Our main purpose in breeding dogs is to have dogs that reflect the Breed Standard, that are sound and exhibit sweet, loving temperaments. Not all pups turn out to be "show dogs," as any honest breeder can tell you, and it is these pups that we are able to make available to the public as pets/companions.

Each of our Pet/Companion Puppies/Young adults are sold with a Spay/Neuter Agreement Contract and with an AKC Limited Registration. These animals are strictly for Pets or Companions and cannot be used for breeding or for showing.

When you purchase a show pup/young adult from Hallmark Farm/Kennel, we guarantee that the dog will not exceed 11 pounds, that it will have a scissors bite and that both testicles will be descended in males. It is your responsibility to properly socialize, train, and to see that the dog attains his/her AKC Championship.

All pups and dogs are sold with a written health guarantee. If it is a pup, you will be required to have follow-up booster shots given in a timely manner by your veterinarian.

If the dog dies from a problem related to a genetic defect it will be replaced with another dog of equal quality and value when one becomes available. Under no circumstances will we replace a dog where we are not advised of its illness beforehand or if it is "put to sleep" without our consent or knowledge.

Coming here to pick up your new pup is of course best for the puppy. However, this cannot be arranged at times. Shipping is available via US Airlines and their Pretty Dog Quick (PDQ) program at a cost of $170, plus $20 for an airline approved shipping crate and the cost of a health certificate from the vet, (usually between $20 and $30). We will not ship a young pup until it is at least 12-16 weeks of age, depending on the puppy.

A deposit (1/2 the purchase price) will hold a dog until it is ready to go or is ready to be shipped.

When sending an email inquiry or using a telephone inquiry, please take some time to share your family situation, home life, geographical location, other critters in the home and just some general information about what a potential Hallmark Farm/Kennel puppy might expect to find there. Since we do not have many dogs and do not breed frequently, we are in a position to be selective as to where and to whom our dogs go. It is important to us that each of our pups finds a home and family of quality.
